An Ephemeral Moment of Memes

Nothing out there lasts forever. Trends become cringe, people die, and everything fades into irrelevancy at one point or another. It's hard to wrap our heads around it in the here and now, but there really is no such thing as true permanence. We can take this one of two ways: live in complete and utter denial, or joyfully embrace the reality of it all.

Memes are the epitome of option number two. Sure, some of the best and most persistent ones come back in different guises to haunt us now and again, but they thrive on the fact that they are fleeting. They are all about living in the moment, whatever it happens to give us, before dissolving into the background again. You might not remember this list after you have scrolled through it, but at least you'll have appreciated the distraction that it offered you at the time.
